My name is Michelle Helliwell.
I’m a professional librarian, wife, and mother of two awesome boys. I also happen to write historical romance novels. I’m currently unpublished, but I consider that a temporary situation. I have written since I was young, although it was mostly secret and behind closed doors. I have little talent for much else “craft” related. I can barely knit, don’t crochet, I can sew but only because I’m short and with that comes the expectation of hemming. I’m a decent cook, but can’t frost a cake. I make quite good tea biscuits, but I cannot, despite many valiant attempts, bake bread.
But I can write. And I love it well enough to work to get better at it, to swallow my ego and take criticism, own my mistakes, and not give up on it. I have stories to tell, and want to make them worthy of the characters in them. Worthy of your time to read them.
